Description
Bring along your sewing machine (or borrow mine), a few old items of clothes, buttons, zips or whatever else you can think of and spend the day engrossed in being creative and fashioning something new out of something old. I cannot promise what the outcome of each course will be but the aim is to have lots of fun in making.
Courses are run on Wednesdays and Sundays and can be either run during the day from 10am to 2pm or in the evening from 6:30pm to 10:30pm.. Only 2 spaces are available per date to ensure that everyone gets the attention they need and comes away happy that they can continue to sew independently and upcycle further garments.
Please note – you will need to be confident at threading your machine and be happy with the basic stitches (straight, zig zag etc). I can refresh things like putting in a zip but there will not be time to go through this in lots of detail.
Bring your sewing machine if you have one although you are welcome to borrow mine, and also bring your lunch. Please note I do not have microwave facilities. Tea, coffee, biscuits and enthusiasm will flow freely though!
Courses are run in the town of Westerham, Kent, which is easily accessed by road and has good public transport links. Please get in contact if you need further help in getting to us.
