This course will involve making a pair of cotton pyjama bottoms for either a man, woman or child. You will learn to accurately measure and size the garment, cut a pattern, follow the instructions included in sewing pattern envelopes and how to adjust your pattern for a perfect fit.
To allow for personal preference, you will need to bring with you;
- 2.5m of your chosen cotton fabric for trousers or 1.5m for shorts (for adult sizes)
- a reel of thread to match your fabric
- Your lunch
Included in the cost will be the pattern your will be following which will be yours to take home at the end with your new creation. If you need help with where to buy your supplies please contact me or visit Minerva Crafts for a great all in one online store.
Bring your sewing machine if you have one although you are welcome to borrow mine, and also bring your lunch/dinner. Please note I do not have microwave facilities. Tea, coffee, biscuits and enthusiasm will flow freely though!
Courses are run on Wednesdays and Sundays and can be either run during the day from 10am to 2pm or in the evening from 6:30pm to 10:30pm. Only 2 spaces are available per session to ensure that everyone gets the attention they need and comes away happy that they can continue to sew independently.
Courses are run in the town of Westerham, Kent, which is easily accessed by road and public transport. Please get in contact if you need further help in getting to us.
